Mastering the bath

The framing of the new bath went up pretty quick and the vision started to come into focus.

Next up was the electric and it was pretty straight forward, one set of switches and two outlets.

The plumbing took a little longer because pipes had to be moved, holes drilled, pipes soldered and fixture placement decided.

The water control is on the back wall so we don’t have to be sprayed with cold water when we want to shower.

Here you can see the rain shower head at the top and the control for the hand held shower nozzle.  I wanted that for emergency dog washing! (Until my dream laundry room is built!)

Here you can see the hole for the shower drain.  Off to the right is the flange for the commode. Luckily all the plumbing was accessible in the floor so Randy only had to cut one piece of subfloor out.

Progress!  The shower base and curb are dry fit, the linear drain in place.  Where the curb is, that’s where the glass panel will go and the window is getting teak shutters.

We’ve picked out all the tiles, niches, vanity, linen cabinet, mirror, lighting and the fan for the celling.  The only thing we don’t have picked out is the vanity top, sink and faucet we plan to have that done and ordered by the July 4th weekend, we are making a big push to get it almost, if not totally done by then!

I’m so excited that we are finally going to have our dream master bath!
