December…

December is a busy month here at Logs End, our anniversary is on the 9th, my brother has his birthday on the 17th, my in laws have their anniversary on that day as well.  My birthday follows on the 24th and then of course Christmas comes!
This year for our anniversary we took part in a Charles Dickens Dinner at Iron Bridge Wine Company.  We had a great time and can easily see this becoming a yearly thing!  Here we are on the night of the dinner in front of our tree…

Unlike years past, with all the roof stuff still going on this year the tree went up in the living room.  The sunroom, where the tree normally goes became home to a second tree, one that is very dear to me..

A moose tree!  Yes I finally have my very own themed tree and it’s all about my moose love affair.  I was pondering as to how exactly this affection for moose came about and I realized that it all started with one ornament over 16 years ago, maybe even longer.  The ornament is a wooden heart with bells and a boy and girl moose and it says “Our 1st Christ-Moose”.  Of course I’ve since added and been given many, many moose and this tree is evidence of that.  One day I will make it up to Vermont or Maine and get to see some real live Moose!
Wishing all of you the very Merriest, Happiest most Wonderful Holidays!
